Refund and Returns Policy

At Ajay Kumar Carpenter Thekedar, we focus on providing high-quality carpentry and interior services. Since our work includes labour, on-site services, and custom-made items, this Refund & Returns Policy has been created to ensure clarity and transparency for all customers.


1. Service-Based Work (No Physical Return)

Since carpentry work involves on-site services and customized fabrication, returns are not applicable.
However, we ensure the work matches the design and measurements agreed upon before starting the project.


2. Refund Policy

a. Before Work Starts

  • If the customer cancels the project before any material is purchased, a refund (if advance was taken) may be processed after deducting administrative or visit charges.

b. After Material Purchase

  • Once materials have been bought for the project, refunds are not applicable, as these expenses are already incurred.
  • Customers may request bills/invoices for purchased materials.

c. After Work Has Started

  • If work has begun on-site or off-site, no refund will be issued, as labour and time have already been invested.

3. Advance Payments

  • Advance payments are taken to book the project and procure materials.
  • This advance is non-refundable once materials are purchased or work is initiated.

4. Replacement of Defective Material

  • Materials supplied by us will be replaced only if found defective at the time of installation.
  • No replacement/warranty is provided for materials purchased by the customer themselves.
  • Physical damage, improper usage, water damage, or modification by others is not covered.

5. Measurement & Design Agreement

  • The customer is responsible for confirming:
    • Final design
    • Measurements
    • Material choice
    • Hardware selection
  • Work will be carried out strictly according to approved details.
  • Any design change after work starts will involve extra charges.

6. Project Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel a project due to:

  • Unsafe working conditions
  • Wrong information provided by the customer
  • Non-payment of dues
    In such cases, only the unutilized portion of advance (if any) may be evaluated for refund.

7. No Return on Customized Work

All furniture and woodwork items created by us are custom-made, therefore:

  • Returns are not accepted
  • Refunds are not applicable after production starts
